1936 NATIONAL DUOLIAN RESONATOR GUITAR
The instrument arrived at my shop in need of total restoration. Decades ago, the original owner brush painted the instrument with gold and silver lacquer. Fortunately, the cone and interior of the instrument remained untouched. The original cone gasket was replaced with pieces of an old T-shirt. It took 46 hours of painstaking work to strip, clean and reassemble the instrument, ensuring that any of the remaining original parts would not be damaged.
